Suggestion for Tele TurnAround
I just did a search on unanswered topics to get a feel for where there might be gaps in the knowledge base.
It appears that Tele TurnAround accounts for more than it’s share of unanswered posts. Why is this? People love clearing away old gear to make room for new stuff. Others love a good find or bargain… if not for skiing then for DIY pulls, chalet lamps, coat racks, benches etc.
We know shipping skis is expensive and risky… damage in transit is one of the mottos of just about every mail and courier service on the planet. Shipping boots is expensive too. But a lot of people might drive a day to pick up a set of bargain skis, boots or poles. Or get a nearby relative to pick up and hold.
So how about this: A quick way to put the location up front?
Example:
FS/WTB: [City or State/Shire/Province], [Items], [Condition 1 —>5]
This allows buyers to filter by forum and thread title… or simply scan the top 30 postings every month or so to see what’s being offered within the nearest star system, so to speak.
A cool example is @jistamour post last year.

Somebody got a good deal because the post had a clear location (city/cities) in the title. I’m sure that the space in the waxing shed was filled by @jistamour, who wanted to see them gone.
I’m probably not the first guy to think of this. Many of the professional sales sites either do things this way or ask for some kind of geo tag when posting. And I’m not in the sales business (I use all of my gear until it has no more practical value. I even break gear through my own stupidity, inattention or misadventure.)
Just looking at something that might help connect people and gear that doesn’t deserve to oxidize, rot, or go to the landfill because nobody spoke for it.
Thoughts?

We dreamed of riding waves of air, water, snow, and energy for centuries. When the conditions were right, the things we needed to achieve this came into being. Every idea man has ever had up to that point about time and space were changed. And it keeps on changing whenever we dream. Bio mechanical jazz, man.

Good suggestion, I've modified my own for sale listing to reflect this idea.

Thanks, @Woodserson
If I was within a parsec of @fgd135, I’d be taking those skis off his hands. Probably throw in a nice bottle of something too… because $20 is a killer price!
