Asnes Mountain Race 48 SKIN
Re: Asnes Mountain Race 48 SKIN
Hello everyone,
I have been reading and benefitting from this forum for some time but finally created an account. This thread in particular has been both highly informative and hilarious.
I have just received Mountain Race 48 waxable ("green") skis in 210cm, shipped all the way from Oslo to the US. They seem fantastic but I already have some questions:
I weigh about 95kg without gear - for the heavier skiers with MR 48s: how much drag should I expect when using xskins? The skis seem to flex a decent amount so I suspect the wax pocket I can use may already be quite short too. Thoughts?
Finally, if I am to get xskins for those otherwise torturous steep, deeper snow climbs or very wet snow, would you recommend 30 or 45mm? I may be pulling a sled at times but not always. I have never used skins on skis this narrow so very curious.
Thank you!
