This is the World Famous TelemarkTalk / TelemarkTips / Telemark Francais Forum, by far the most dynamic telemark and backcountry skiing discussion board on the world wide web since 1998. East, West, North, South, Canada, US or Europe, Backcountry or not. http://eddie.dnsprive.com/~telemark/
"When [Trumpy Pants] loses he will falsely declare that he was robbed and his armed and ignorant supporters will almost certainly do.....something. I'm sorry but this upcoming election isn't remotely "interesting". This will almost certainly not end well."
Any questions?
I'm once again calling for the rounding up, forcefully if necessary, of all the Trump Trash in this country. I know of one fat old douche in Northern Vermont who'd be easy enough to catch. He certainly isn't going to ski away from anyone, that's for sure.

@anthem, well, then all the world’s problems will be solved and we will all live in peace and happiness until the end of time. Paradise on earth. The lion will sleep with the lamb. Milk and honey. It will be glorious.
Or, the monkeys full of snakes will just make up something else to get excited about…

I know this is a rhetorical question, but....
When the predicate is "round up millions of your enemies",
the final solution is always about the same.
Gulags or gas chambers.
I’ve read The Gulag Archipelago. The Socialist media trumpeted the triumph of re-education. Those being re-educated reveled in what they were able to accomplish to aid the Socialist State!

My forebears came over from Poland around 1905 or so. Sadly, I'm more ignorant than I should be of my remaining relatives in "the old country". I have two cousins who are doctors that went to a U.S. medical school in Poland. At one point back in the 1980's I got to talk with a great aunt who, at the age of ten or so, was with her family in the Ukraine when Stalin imposed the Holodomor (the terror famine that killed as many as 4 million Ukrainians - a small percentage of the tens of millions Stalin killed). I can't remember how her family ended up being "kulaks" in Ukraine or the exact route that led to her escape, but she remarked on eating boiled grass at points to survive. Not all of her family made it out.
It's been quite a while since I read (or more accurately, took a stab at it - Russian authors!) the G.A. but about 10 years ago I re-read One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich. It's an easier read, for sure.

@Montana St Alum i read the abridged version, less than 500 pages. Amazing the similarities between Soviet implemented policies, and current progressive policies. Substitute capitalist for racist. They both stifle communication that is contrary to their orthodoxy. The Soviets used the gulags, according to Solzhenitsyn 60 million perished between 1918 and 1956. I know that was obviously disinformation. Fortunately we have Face Book and Twitter that can simply delete and stop the dissemination of such disinformation. The older written on paper technology utilized be Solzhenitsyn allowed for the use of multiple accomplices to smuggle disinformation out of the country. Today’s progressives have learned their lessons from history, and are using technology to quash unorthodox thought.
I don’t know if people realize that the Soviet revolution, was a people’s revolution. It was a glorious revolution that showed the world the inherent righteousness of socialism, and that of true socialist society.

Estimates of deaths under the Soviet regime vary wildly. Tens of millions due to internal suppression Vs. WWII deaths seems like a reasonable estimate. The estimate of almost 4 million in Ukraine alone in less than 2 years is well documented. Extrapolating out from that isn't much of a stretch. The deaths in China under Mao just from the Cultural Revolution dwarf what Stalin was able to accomplish in Ukraine. In those ten years estimates on the high end run to 20 million. It's hard to nail down though, as history tends to be "revised" quite a bit.
As survivors pass away, it becomes easier to hide the costs of rounding up the trash.
