What a day!!!!! Can just imagine the joy felt by all.....War was over and think of the celebration....Probably a million or more still over seas and....wow.....just imagine.....My mom gave birth on that day....Thanks all for keeping us free....For sacrificing for all of us.....TM

On that date, after 3 years of killing, and watching others die, my dad was an American G I in Oslo and engaged to a sweet Norwegian lass. He used Nazi gold from Merker's Mine that "Fell off the truck" to have the ring made. They never got married but I ski like I'm half Norwegian .
