Biological Annihilation

This is the place to debate politics, global warming, and yes, even the origin of man, whatever. Simply put, if you want to argue about off topic stuff, you've found the right board. Have fun!

"I really have had enough of illogical detraction by association as a way of avoiding logical argument by an absurd extension of ad hominem argument to third parties."

Scientists say net zero by 2050 is too late
Climate scientists now believe their predictions about the rate of the global temperature increase have been too conservative, and stronger and more decisive action is needed to reduce dangerous greenhouse gas emissions.

In this context, putting the emphasis on net zero emissions by 2050 simply helps the conservative parties, which are not moving away from their fossil fuel mates because the political pressure for change is not great enough.

Check out some long term (relative to your lifetime, split second relative to geologic history) graphs, and explai how things are getting bad so fast when. The data does not surt the models (and the models dont match the data). Loo at these continental us temperatures, and see The steady climb, not some catastrophic End-of-the-world scenario.
PS these graphs are online from NOAA and EPA.

Article from CBS was for arctic, not contiguous US which you posted.
