Has anyone installed smile plates on alpina Alaskas ?
My binding wasn't tightened down enough and I stretched the holes a bit
I'm wondering if the plates will work on the Alaska 7mm

They should, but you shouldn't need to do that until it gets really tore up, you might split the bill too.

There is is a metal plate a few mm deep you should be able to see. Are the holes still looking round there? If so, don't worry, that's the part that's actually keeping you in.

Thanks Mike
The holes in metal are fine
I just tore the rubber a bit
I'll keep the binding clamped down on the third notch when using the Alaskas

Yeah, that's what they like the best.

I just tore up the rubber on one of my 75mm boots. I clamped down the bale and the pins weren't lined up, like a jong

Not worried though, the metal plate in the sole with save my sins!

PS I skied for a while like that before I realized my boot on one foot felt really wobbly. Tried cranking the bale another notch and the bill popped up in the middle   That's when it finally dawned on me I wasn't engaging the actual pin holes. Doh! This is what happens when you ski on NNN-BC all season 8-)

Also tried the Alaskas on my wife's BC 125
They worked fine in some nice powder

Nice little turn farm rglide. Are your wifes skis shorter than what you would get for yourself?

That's the dam at the Ashland mass reservoir. Good skiing when there is no base in the woods.
The skis are 165 and I normally ski 180. The rocker tip makes them easy to turn also.
