Can I put hardwires on a (cable) 3-pin (Voile) toe bail?

Hi,
So, I am attempting to convert 2-3 pairs of BC skis to releasable/CRB bindings.
I am having trouble finding a Voile 3-pin Hardwire CRB set for my beefiest (tele) set-up, and would rather not have to go with the extra weight of a release kit with standard 3-pin on top of it. I also would like the option to be able to climb without wire/cable, hence the 3-pin preference.
What I have been able to find easily are the standard 3-pin with cable CRBs. So my question is, can I simply swap in hardwires for the cables on these 3-pin toe bails? I can work out the shims and height and such, but am just wondering if there is something special about the hardwire toe bails that is not present on the standard 3-pin (with cable mount)?
Thanks in advance . . .
