Where should G3 Targa's be lined up? Going to see if they match any holes on the skis I have, preferable the latter 6 pair for more of a resort ski. These four look like one or more might work with existing holes as the Targas look to have a four-hole long rectangle and one or two screws for the heel plate.

Hmm... in tele, the balance point* of the ski is usually lined up with which...
- mid foot ala alpine
- ball of fore-foot (base of big toe)
- pivot of tele binding
- other?

* Or should I go with mid-point (measured), or factory marked point (if present)?

You have some “old school” skis, I suggest old school mounting. For a downhill oriented skis, which would best suit your Targa, the recommendation was pin line on chord center. The pin line is delineated on the paper template. That is why the template helps.
Chord center is one half the taunt tape measurement hooking the tail and measuring to the tip. Then hook the tail again, and mark chord center on the ski with a pencil. That is your pin line as noted on the template.
Adjusting the holes 1-2cm from chord center is pretty insignificant. I would start pin line at chord center, and adjust from there based upon existing holes.
Although I am acting like this is no big deal, I have spent days comparing chord center to balance point to boot center on the ski boot center mark. My most downhill oriented ski, as well as all my other skis are mounted pin line on balance point. That doesn’t mean that the recommendation of pinline at chord center is not a very good starting point. I would see how that pin line would put the ball of my foot to the most narrow part of the ski.

K2 instructed that those skis (and their other models from that generation) should be mounted pins on chord center. The inserts were set there, with an additional set for more forward if desired, on the models with inserts. They're set with a standard 4-hole mounting pattern. I've had 3 of the 4 models you have, and the Instinx is, as I recall, the women's version of the Work's; anyway I always found those skis (and a few other K2's) to have a nice sweet spot at chord center. Fisheater's method of measurement is correct.
I have a pair of those Karhu's also; I've always mounted those pin line on balance point, as I would with any lighter touring ski.

Kind of curious what the back two holes are for (one round, one hex). The front one look to be to secure the ice plate.

I’m glad you were able to get the correct bindings. I am not familiar with all the Targa varieties.

Could those holes be for cable adjustment? I saw something about cable adjustment on the template I posted

No, the gross adjustment is done via routing under the toe plate, straight, loop, loop w twist, and fine adjust by screwing the spring cartridges equally.

Looks like at least 3 versions, o.g. is steel (at least 4 color options), T9 aluminum, and Ascent. The hole width is the same so there can be some hole overlap.

At least w that Ascent template I can see if any holes match that one. Should of though to ask what had what when I got the dozen.

The two holes all the way in the back, hex/round were repositories for spare parts, a nut and a bolt

Important to note that using the inserts on the K2's requires a specific bolt, rather than a screw. Might take a bit of searching to find some, but it should be do-able. Somewhere there exists specs for the bolt size and pitch, which should be available as hardware.

You can also drill the skis, but it requires some care in placement to avoid the metal bases of the inserts, which are T-nuts (so the base is embedded in the core).
