Touring pants with integrated gaiters that work with leather tele boots?

I like the simplicity of pants with integrated gaiters (and find gaiters a little uncomfortable), but they are generaly sized for big plastic boots and slide off my high cut leather boots (merrel ultras). Are there any pants out there with integrated gaiters that are more xc boot oriented? Maybe something with a slimmer gaiter and a way to attach some cord as an instep strap?

I'm wearing some Eddie Bauer pants like that. Work great with NNN BC Alaska, 75mm Alico Snow March, and even alpine boots, because they stretch. Not so much a gaiter as a zip and elastic cuff, with a laces hook. Had no snow enter, either sport. I vary the base layer, comfortable across a wide temperature range.

I have the same preferences, and it took some searching and trying, but I got a pair of Mammut pants: Schoeller fabric, elasticized internal gaiter with it's own cuff snaps and lace hook, and gusseted and adjustable outer cuff with snaps. Superbly comfortable and they fit great (for me).Well laid out & functional pockets, reinforced cuff (on the inner side, as in protection from edges), and partial length ventilation zips on the upper leg.
I only got to wear them once or twice after I got them last season, but they're as close to perfect as I could want. Oh, and they make 'em in two lengths; the "short" are what I'd call "normal" length for my pant size; YMMV.

I've found that the Outdoor Research Cirque pant works really well for touring, especially with slimmer boots. They have a laces hook to keep the pants attached to your boots and also have a spot or an instep strap. They are slim enough for xx skiing and mountaineering but you can unzip the ankle and just barely get them over a full size ski boot.

I use Columbia Titan Ridge pants, it’s their high end pants. They are not insulated but have the metallic dots inside, heavy duty material in the knees and butt. Has the boot hook but I never use because once it’s on it doesn’t want to come off, like get the pliers. Has belt straps so you can replace it, it’s not sewn in. Thanks for making me look these up as they are on sale, $98, I don’t need need a second quite yet but the price is right. Fit over my Alaska 75 and Fischer Transnordic 75.

I have an old pair of Norrøna trousers similar to these two with a hook and a really functional strap at the cuff that really keeps the snow out (not GoreTex or insulated). My wife has something similar to the second with an elastic webbing thing and a hook that seems to do the job really nicely too!

arc’teryx Sigma FL pants are pricey but are amazingly versatile, windproof, and breathable. No gaiter but I’ve never had trouble with snow going up my pant leg with the elastic drawstring cuff that does a great job sealing around a boot, even when post holing in deep snow.

It has a nice stretch with athletic fit that never feels constraining, even for activities like ice climbing and is light enough for temperatures around 0°C but with a thicker base layer, I can stay comfortable down to -25°C. The fabric also does a pretty good job even with water splashes like getting dripped on while climbing a wet ice fall.

Could you provide a link or model name, @phoenix ? Exactly what I’m looking for! Thanks!

"Mammut Base Jump SO Touring Pants". I'd say they fit nicely true to size, fairly trim fit. Kind of micro-adjustable waist, which is really nice, along with a removable, low-profile suspender, if you like using it. Cuff/gaiter fit both my Alaska's and Excursions.

I like the Marmot ROM Pant. Brand equivalent to Arcteryx Alpha FL, Mammut Base Jump SO, Patagonia Mixed Guide (RIP), etc
