Leather NNN boots

Post by wabene » Tue Feb 08, 2022 2:14 pm

Hello all,
After searching far and wide on the interwebs I've come up empty. Does anybody make a leather NNN boot? Arrrgg! My track skis, Madshus M50's, are the last of my skis in heavy rotation that still have NNN bindings. They have a fixed, recessed skin and the only reason I haven't put NNN BC bindings on them is think the ability to move the bindings fore and aft based on conditions is crucial with a ski like this. My boots, Fischer X5-OT are the stiffest NNN boots I could find, but they are plastic crap and don't have near the comfort or torsional rigidity of my lightest leather, the Crispi Norland Hook. I skied about 10 miles 2 days in a row recently and both days at 7 miles the discomfort set in. I've just replaced the insoles with some closed cell foam versions, but haven't tried that yet. I would gladly shit can these boots if I could get some leather ones. Anybody ever seen any?

Crispi still makes a leather, Norwegian welt 75 mm tele boot.

Someone’s been selling Brit mil-surp Alico leather 75 mm on e-bay, though I think those soles are glued on.

Freestyle life had some used boots on their site earlier this week. No great deals though.
