Trucker "Light Edge 8"(?) Skis?
I found a set of 215 Trucker Light Edge Skies on craigslist. It looks like an "8" after the "Light Edge" lettering on the tail
Any chance these are still skiable? Or are they going to be well past there expiration date?

That was my go-to ski for many years, and I always liked 'em. I kinda doubt they're "too old"... foam core ski, but they were well made. Nicely balanced camber, light weight ski, tours very well. I'd go for 'em if they're your size, and fit your skiing niche.

I've seen a bunch of references to foam core skies loosing their camber.

I've come across a couple discussions about this. I happen to have a pair of Trucker "Light Touring", same vintage as the Light Edge. Have had them for over 35 years. No loss of camber. My Karhu XCD-GT's are well over 20 years old, foam core, no loss of camber. Worked in Nordic shops 30 years or so, and I don't recall that issue ever coming up. A Karhu rep did mention something about the rumor in the early 80's; I think it's possible the Karhu's may have had an issue with a run of skis from the late 70's.
Personally, I wouldn't worry about it.

I'd buy em if the price is right. Do they say "Company 3" anywhere? True Aspen made skis.

Those Epoke's are wonderful, had a couple pair over the years, also the 1000's. Kinda wish I'd kept 'em, and the Trucker Light Edge's too. Still have those Truckers shown in the post above. And a pair of Bonna's, but of the wooden variety.

Well I didn't commit to the Truckers and another lucky dog scooped them up. The sellers sister had a set of 205 cm Truckers that I could take a look at. So when I got there I was surprised that thee skies have a plastic edge. Its an inlay and a separate piece of plastic from the base. I think they wanted $50 so I passed, but randomly I found another 200cm set that pretty much came free with a box full of kick wax. The measure 59-51-54. They feel realy light and have a plastic Trak 3 pin binding. I'm not sure how their constructed, but I don't see any kind of foam nipple. I'll try and get some pictures later.
