7tm parts interchangability?

So...

I have a pair of the original red 7tm bindings (the ones widely despised on internet forums) mounted on a pair of skis that I bought to use for lift served. I have skied in them twice since I bought them in 2016. I recently dusted them off and took them for a spin... They were better than I remembered but I did get a little concerned: What if the grey rubber piece (tension strap?) that holds the heel piece on bites the dust? I figured I should probably get an extra one! So I placed an order with Telemark Pyrenees for two original 7tm tension bars. They arrived today and I found that they actually shipped two sets of Power tension bars along with the little metal bars that move the pivot point back in the Power binding. I haven't tried it yet but I am wondering if these will fit in my bindings and bump the activity up a bit?

Any info from the collective Telemark Talk Memory Bank would be appreciated!

I skied the Power Tours for many years, but never the originals. Also, never replaced the "tension strip" on any 7tm's, but if you can add the pin to your binding frame, do it! The "Powers" still have what would be considered a "neutral" feel, but are better tuned to ythe proper flex point of your boots. The newest Powers (XT's, I think) are said to be still more active; I much prefer something closer to neutral myself.

Thanks! I'm going to give these a try and see if I can get them to fit. My main reason for getting the spares is because of the age of mine, not because I'm going to break them from too much gnar or something like that. I should have mentioned that I bought these (old) skis (Karhu Ruckits) because I thought they were skinny enough to be easy for someone with meager skills to get on edge on hardpack with Excursions. The few times I have used them that has proven to be mostly true, I just haven't had too many chances to use them. A little more activity vs. the stock setup would be fine with me.
