I am not an anti-waxxer

Despite the conspiracy against the wax, what with so many manufacturers except Asnes making primarily waxless skis for the backcountry, I have not drunk the kool-aid. After my initial two weeks following getting waxxed I can report that my tur is much more enjoyable. I do have some soreness in my arm after getting waxxed, presumably from all the corking, but no other symptoms. I may get a booster by upgrading to Gamme or Finnmark sometime soon. That should aid in protecting me from long-haul slowness.

despite the “science”,
I dont trust the waxx…

I give my scales a good “disinfecting”,
and rub with Zinc (tip-to-tail),
plus maybe a little horse de-wormer cream in the pocket, on warm days. :-/

OMG, even the telemarking community is being riven by the dreaded Red and Blue culture divide.
Monday, January 24, 2022 — a day to live in infamy.
What has the world come to?

I do not care if you wax, or don't wax, as we're outside, so long as you social-distance from me and mine (2 meters, if you please - I'm Canadian, and this is a Nordic sport). However, keep your unwaxed bases on the snow.

Nor do I care to hear your conspiracy theories about Swix/Toko/Start/Vauhti placing 5G nanoparticles in my klister. Warm-weather waxing is already klister-feck enough.

So funny..while skiing today I thought I should post here that I’m becoming an anti-waxxer!
I couldn’t find the right wax for today’s conditions and kept thinking about waxless skis :D

I waxed once and I developed terrible klisters on my hands, it spread all over my gloves, my sandwich....
