I am looking for advice on a suitable ski for a 35 kg skier, which allow her to climb and ski down with more confidence than her current cross country skis (167cm, 52-46-50), especially in hardpack snow conditions.

I have read in a post about the suitability of the Asnes Mountain Race Junior. It has the advantage that she could continue to use the same boots and SNS bindings, but would prefer a ski that didn't have the need for skins, and preferably wider, allowing eventual use in “deep” snow.

That's why I had thought of the Mashus Panorama 62 (162 cm). However, I understand that the behavior will be totally different depending on the weight of the skier, and not just their height, which is the reference given by Madshus.

Also, assuming I was leaning towards a wider ski than Asnes, and given that she has only used SNS bindings and flexy boots, is there a NNN BC boot that is rather flexible/comfortable and suitable for this type of "wide" ski?

In summary, for a 35 km beginner skier, for use on forest trails:
A) Mountain Race Junior, what length 150 or 160 cm?
B) The Madshus Panorama M62 (old Eon) would be valid?
C) Some other ski?
D) Advice on "comfortable" NNN BC boots

Maybe the Fischer BCX GT boot? Not too expensive for growing feet. Not too high but enough to mange an Eon in easier conditions. The Madshus Glittertind boot is comfortable and has adjustable flex and can mange most anything. If you are a multi-millionaire or something- the Xplore binding and the Alfa Skaget Perform are super comfortable.

The Eon or Panorama 62 does not have a big camber- it is barely camber and a half so would probably be like a double camber to a lightweight skier like her- should work. It is a forgiving ski, plus I assume she is growing.
