This is the World Famous TelemarkTalk / TelemarkTips / Telemark Francais Forum, by far the most dynamic telemark and backcountry skiing discussion board on the world wide web since 1998. East, West, North, South, Canada, US or Europe, Backcountry or not. http://eddie.dnsprive.com/~telemark/
Is anybody else frustrated that Fischer makes it much harder to find the widths for their skis than Åsnes? Seems a pretty basic piece of information... Nor have I found information on their short skins, before I gave up in five minutes; whereas it takes no time to get the Åsnes ski specs, and discover their short skins come in nylon, mohair, or hybrid, in various widths. Åsnes even lists suggested skins, and bindings, on each ski's page. Fischer, don't you want my money?
Guess I'll stick with my plan to buy Åsnes Otto Sverdrup.
I think they just changed the name... https://www.fischersports.com/fr_fr/tra ... e-e99-2385
It is now the transnordic-66... it kind of make more sense to name the ski from the width underfeet... I guess younger skiers wont be as shocked as us "old farts" that have been skiing the E99 for ever

Oh well I got it all wrong 66 refer to the width of the tips... not underfoot... my bad... I will stick to taking care of my veggies and not get involved in TTalk discussions

Is that why they changed the name to TRANSnordic cuz it transitioned from 99 to 66?

The Fischer website keeps getting DUMBER AND DUMBER and they remove important information. At one point last year if a ski sold out... they removed the ski from the website entirely, so if you went looking for something specific and didn't know any better, you'd think it was gone from the lineup. I don't know who's in charge of Fischer website but they are the worst.
Fischer doesn't want your money, or mine.
Asnes does want your money and respects the idea that you worked hard for it and want to educate yourself before splashing money around. I second your idea on the OTTO.
I remember now, i thought it was just a bad Covid dream. I kind of figured once they (Fischer) left the virtual office and came back to the real office common sense would take over.

Hi folks, im new in this forum and in the XCD word. In this last year i have just skiing Classic XC. I have just purchase the 21/22 Fischer Outback 68 with Roteffela BC bindings, im in search of a good boots for this ski. I was evaluating Alpina Alaska or Fischer, because here in Italy there is not much choice of these materials.
