My 5 year old's new backcountry(oops) setup

Altai Balla Hoks arrived the other day. Finally got some bindings on them. The NNN appears to use the same rear holes as NN, made it easy to use the binding as a template. My local shop had some M6 hardware that looks like it will work well. I had to drill 3 more holes for the rest of the binding, but it was pretty easy. Had some spare hardware that worked well on these low profile skis. I did file a couple points down to make sure they did not go through the bottom. Hopefully we will go for a ski tomorrow and see how they go. This kid has been ripping on her 100cm alpine setup, and has great balance on her XC skinnies. I think she is gonna love these. I might have to post a review!!!

The linear length ratio of binding:ski is so big in that picture. If I didn't know, and with proper camera angles, lighting, background, etc... I could have mistaken this a customized setup for clown feet.

Well Mr. Atomictoad,

You got me. Not only did you see what I didn't, you also freaked me out with that image. Well done!

I should of signed off on that post as Clown of the Week. I messed up! Those bindings, they don't fit my kids boots!!!! They do fit my boots, hence your clown feet analogy really cuts deep. Haha. Boots were at her mom's, and I neglected to test fit them. These bindings are not the Jr NNN. So head hanging low, I remount with the proper bindings, and get the epoxy out to boot. Sheesh.

This is what I get for trying to "show off" on the internet

We did have an awesome day hitting the sunny slopes though. Almost felt like spring skiing.

Got a set of those for my boy this season too. Pretty good little backyard/backwoods rambler. Eurasian touring ski. They climb like goats!

I like how yours have the little tribal motif emblazoned on the skins, nice touch, mine dont have that.

As long as, "We all float down here," is not part of weekly agenda... then it's all good in the hood.
