Tua ski ID

so my first set of tele gear was from a guy off Craigslist. For $100 I got a pair of scarpa T2s, and this set of Tua 'transalp' skis mounted with Targas

After a couple hours I decided the skinny/straightness was hindering my progression, so I took the targas off and mounted them to old learner skis I got when i first started skiing about 10 years ago.

So now I have these beautiful old skis that habe been living under my bed. I cant bring myself to throw them away.

187cm long
Tua
Double cambered
Decent sidecut 85-65-75 (very quick ruler measurements)

I dont know if they are worth anything or if they would be of any use for me. At 187 they don't seem long enough to be a cross country ski for me. They have a pretty good sidecut which makes me rhink they are downhill focused.

What should I do with them? I figured if nothing else I'd just hang them on the wall. They've also been mounted twice already

If you decide to get rid of them, or don't want them around, I will definitely take them. I can meet you in VT and we can shred together!

(I'm not a super shredder, usually just happy to be out on the mountain)

Prospect Mt? Bromley? Magic?

I definitely intend on doing a lot of skiing in vermont this winter, that is assuming I'm allowed into the state without quarantine.

I've neber been to prospect, Bromley, or magic yet.

I've been to mount snow (just okay IMO, similar to hunter in the catskills which is the closest mountain to me). Killinton was impressively large and all... but not my vibe, very touristy and an aggressive crowd, probably won't go back, except for maybe one of their super late spring days just for fun

And I've been to smuggs, and mad river Glen which were both super rad mountains.

Im getting an epic pass because hunter is now epic. And so intend to check out stowe and okemo. Id also like to check out Jay. And definitely go back to smuggs cause... man that was the best day of skiing of my life

I absolutely love vermont though, I want to try as many of those mountains as possible

I would wax them up and use them as an xcd ski, they look like they would be fun with leather boots. I skied a similar size and shape ski with kick wax for years and kept up with people on dbl camber skis and I weigh about 180lbs.

They might be your next favorite ski. You won't know till you try.

I mounted mine on my cabin. I appreciate them everyday.

there is no better reference for vintage tele skis than Pinnah's library which is still available on waybackmachine...sure enough the Transalp is on there:
