XCd skiing in NH?

Hey everyone,
I’m not sure where the majority of the user base is located but my question to the forum is if there are other xcd skiers in the Hanover NH area or more broadly the Upper Valley?
Anyone know some good local spots or of any kind of meetup?
I’m still pretty new to the downhill side of things and sadly none of my friends are particularly interested in sending it down old logging roads or trails on xc gear.

There is a decent back-woods place in Randolph Vt; a mountain called 3030, west of the village (I skied it with wax and/or scales, but skins may be useful). There is a tele group out of Rochester, Vt; RASTA, that has a web site. You may find some skiing buddies there.

Do a site search for Chuck Flannel. He has video posted on this site, and has me convinced New Hampshire is indeed XCD nirvana. Now I don’t aspire to be as cool as Chuck, I sure want to ski some of those areas.

13 seconds of New Hampshire bliss!
New Hampshire rocks, Chuck Flannel finds the goods! Search out his posts, surely enlightenment will be found.
Welcome to the site. This is a nice place to send some time.

Upper Valley? Northeast Slopes in Corinth. Lift served XCD to get your practice on so you don't bust your noggin when you send it in the woods by your lonesome. This is a must ski place. Super friendly, $12 a day.
Whaleback super cheap and XCD friendly too.
Storrs Hill in Lebanon, also but NES is just the place where magic happens.
WHO is CHUCK FLANNEL? and WWCFD?

Chuck Flannel is THE MAN. I’m pretty sure he would take your advice Woods if he was new to NH XCD
Being a pretty cool NH XCD skier yourself Mr. Woodserson it’s funny you haven’t met Chuck Flannel? Then poor Clark Kent always seemed to show up after Superman went up, up, and away!!!

Yes that is 3030. There is a parking area on Thatcher Brook Road, and an easement for skiing up the hill, past the farm and east up the brook. There are cleared glades if you take the left fork in the trail, and head up to the saddle north of the peak. There is also a hut for day use.

Braintree Mountain is 3030. Parking is on Riford Brook.

I live about 15 minutes from Whaleback (maybe 20minutes from Storrs hill) and I’ve snowboarded there countless times. Good to know I could bring my xcd gear there for some good practice
I’ll definitely look into Northeast Slopes!
