I have made the move from Davis/Tahoe, CA to Corvallis, OR last week. I've explored the coast and gotten a day of climbing in at Smith Rock. I start work next Monday and will have a lot less time.

I'd love to get out this week for some summer turns, mountain biking, more climbing... anyone out there looking for an adventure partner this week? Any good Oregon groups/forums to hit up that I might not know about?

Can't help you a lot RE this week but thought I would give you the link to summer skiing on the Palmer Glacier..
Whole lotta fun and I am sure you can meet locals there and find out more about groups that might interest you..
We try and make it down to Mt Hood for at least one W/E in July or August each year..
lots of skinning possibilities on the mountain also and great hiking around the mountain..
The alt route from Corvalis to Mt Hood is quite scenic with some great camping possibilities..

Just back from trying to ski Mt Hood Saturday! Sorry we missed you! Sunday was a much better day for skiing there..About drowned Saturday! Brutal!

Hey all!! I've been horridly locked up in the clinic for my residency nearly since I got here in July. But I'm free tomorrow! Is there enough snow anywhere to pretend to turn? Anyone getting out and looking for/okay with a slow tag along?!?!?
