Large or Small Rottefella NTN, how to tell?

I may be buying a set of Rottefella NTN Freedom bindings from someone who does not know what size they have, and it's through the mail. They are orange and white. His boot size is 26, which it seems to me from what I have read it could be either small or large. I am new to all this, is there a way to tell? I assume the larger ones will adjust out to fit a larger boot, and the smaller ones will not?
Here's from REI (I couldn't find this info on the Rottefella site):
Large bindings fit Garmont NTN boot sizes 26 mondo and up; fit Scarpa and Crispi NTN boot sizes 26.5 mondo and up
Small bindings fit Garmont NTN boot sizes 25.5 mondo and down; fit Scarpa and Crispi NTN boot sizes 26 mondo and down

1. If the bindings are orange and white, they're likely Freerides, not Freedoms.
2. Ask him which brand boots he has (Scarap, Crispi, or Scott/Garmont)? As far as I know, the bindings won't adjust. The different numbers for sizing has to do with the boot mfrs approach to sizing. For Scarpa and Crispi, boots 27.5 and 28.0 share the same shell. For Scott (formerly Garmont), boots 27 and 27.5 share the same shell. So, if he's a 26 Scarpa, he has a small. If he wears Scott boots, then he has a large.
3. Best advice, get Outlaw X.

Plus, it is written on the plastic plate that incorporates the duckbutt, right there...

Aha! Thanks, I could see the size on the plate in the photo!

What is it about the Outlaw X that you prefer?

I'm biased because I use Outlaw X and have far more days on them. That said, I think they're better because:
1. Tour function. Far superior and total free pivot.
2. Flex - much smoother and, at the lowest setting, seems far more similar to what I had grown accustom to on 75mm gear.
3. 22 Designs is a great company with amazing customer service (not to imply Rotte isn't; I just have no experience with having to use them).
