Low expectations abounded....but....there was @ 3 inches of powder on heavy 3-5 foot base....Rhyme ice had fallen into that powder making for zoom snow....wicked fast snow....Boys were in the mood to pop a few drops and sway tp the contours making for relaxed speedy arcs about anywhere especially on lower angles....Rooster tails were common....and....speed slicing through the woods was a beautiful sight....Some lucky to have an unending year like this....Also sweetened the pan and drew off a gallon of tasty syrup...Now for sugar and corn?...TM

Well don't let him get to you... he's just trying to bully you out of there.

And seriously, look out for those Chihuahuas:

TM, your maple-syruping reminds me of growing up in NH. Collecting and boiling sap was my favorite chore in the spring. Your maple-tales make me want to give it a go next season. We've got PLENTY of sugar maples around here on our property and the guy the next drainage north boils syrup and sells it at the local farmer's market all year.

It's the only activity that stops me from skiing...maple syrup is Spring....On a sun filled weekend there are lots of children....Moms Dads...friends neighbors....drive buy's....people challenging mud season in cars and trucks and rooster tails of mud flying....people laughing.....Sugar and Spring...TM
