This ski design made it to the South Pole many times. The man matters more than the skis, or as Southside Johnny sings- Its not the meat its the motion that makes my baby wanna rock. This pair is actually Scott's. Amundsen used the same brand, Hagen, which was from Cristiana (what Oslo was called at that time). Amundsen's dogs liked to eat the bindings so he changed their design so he could bring them in at night. Scott's were a one-way model.
The original Hagen Amundsen ski was 250cm (8 ft. long). Think Finn forest skis.
