So I'm just wondering how one gets their name...

If Johnny Love were to come down and ski with you, what would his name be? LonelyTeleBear? LoveTele? Snowshoe Johnny? 8-)

The Clan is the Kingdom Tele Boys....If, and let me count the ways, you become a Kingdom Tele Boy then you get a name....One example on how one got her name....She skied with us and Telepole helped her a lot.....Camels Hump...Worcester Range.....Mansfield....Kingdom areas....We went out and bought her a hat....The first and only Kingdom Tele Boy.....Teleliz.....After a bit and she going off to Thailand and India an understudy of some Guru...in the High Mountains.....she came back Shaktitele....She is a boarder now but still in our minds a Kingdom Tele Boy....There are Raventele, Teleking, Telekid, Telewood, Telepole, Boots, Telewheels, Tele Rock, Teleroll, and I....Oh and we gave a hat to Gimpy out in Tahoe....TM

So Snowshoe Donny is not a KTB?

And why is Boots just Boots? Why doesn't he have 'Tele' in his name?

And thanks BTW, this is unraveling many mysteries of the KTB that folks have been dying to know!

See "Boots", got his name because he put his NEW boots up on a Glenwood Parlor Stove...They have a foot rest....Being a Combat Vet he promptly went to sleep....The next morning "Boots awakened....stumbled around...par for the course....went outside and when heading up to hunt his boots had him kinda tumbling down...This guy was a linebacker for one of those Big Michigan Football teams....so it takes a bit for messages going from his feet to a concussed brain....especially after a night of "Hunting Camp"!!!! Finally he looked at his boots....one of which was badly misshapen....the entire toe area having melted mostly away which meant he was walking mostly on a big slant on his size 13 feet tipping to the side....We..uh...have them hanging from the Hunting camp wall....There are NO rules on how anybody becomes a Kingdom Tele Boy.....Snowshoe Donny has a great love for the hills around his place....Then there is Rastatele and red bearded Telesven....and punkatele.....Sunday will be a gathering of the Clan....A tele party high on a hill in nowheresvill....Powder will be flying....Food cooking on an open fire.....miles from anywhere....Serious open hardwood skiing.....No whips.....Zillion openings and higher up the hill moderate to steep....Everybody will take their own line on all kinds of different equipment....Snicker, the best skiing being on skinnies, pins, leather....TM

Geez - I wouldn't mess with that bear! Look at those paws!

Skinnies and leathers huh? Why am I not surprised by that?

I haven't set foot in a pin binding yet this year... I forget what it's like. Maybe I'll have to try again this weekend... have a little sledding hill xcD close to home.

Telekid got away from his new child duties for a morning , (before work), ski....Said, "look at those tracks"....So skied with my wife on a Hay field up above the house and saw some nice figure eights....Now an e99 can make a single (mono) track that is out and out beautiful....Me being on the e109's with the waist at 55 the same as the 99....But with the 73 tip a bit more floaty....=....a bit more speed.....So he will get a sighting on a skinnier more mono track than the 99's.....Why?....The 109's were much faster that day so I could make skinnier tracks than the skinnier 99's....We do this....You judge a telemarker by his trackkkkkkkkkk......Wonder what he will come up with? Why judge a skier at all? (because you're insecure) Isn't skiing about having fun?
