I'm not sure how big you want to go, but I've been very happy with my Black Diamond Cirque 35 for day outings. They also make a larger one, the Cirque 45. They don't have a lot of compartments, so not the right choice if that is your thing.JarvisVOID wrote: ↑Sun Jul 25, 2021 11:00 amAll of you talked about the equipment. But can someone recommend me a good and big backpack? All that I've found are pretty small.

If you are tall, you might look at Ortovox.
I’m 6’3” and all the packs I have tried end up with the hip belt around my waist, which I do not like.
I used the Peak 35 last year and liked it a lot, and in the regular length, the hip belt rode on my hips.
Instead of like most manufactures, their regular length is like a tall, and they also make an “S” model (Peak 32 S, for example) which is shorter.
Tall or not, I would recommend taking a look at these packs — they have several models, I liked the Peak Series.

This link shows their recommended use case, by model, so by them, for Ski Tour, you might also look at the Haute Route.

About 8 beers hopefully not over 6%. 5-8 joints. Extra layers for added warmth. Some meat to throw on the fire. Climbing wax, skins, knife, water bottle which I usually use to clean cooking pan or dump out. Goggles are always in my pack as well as sun glasses. Some rope and small adjustable wrench.

Food for a day pack: banana, cheese, bread, chocolate keep me satisfied until supper back at the homestead. Usually keep a can o' beer chilling in the trunk.

Sure, recommendations should abound, but what do you mean by a good and, especially, "big" backpack? You talking big day pack, or multi day pack? If you want to tell us either your intended use, or a volume range, you'll get some feedback.

Re: What do you carry in day packs? Backcountry XCd
Firstly, to put in a backpack a lot of things that I need, I need to understand that this requires an expensive backpack that could withstand it all. And as for what I pack there, everything is simple: I should always have water and food prepared in advance and delivered in kraft stand-up bags. After all, I monitor nutrition, and it is extremely necessary for me to eat 3 times a day because I used to have pancreatitis because I didn't eat enough. Therefore, life and the body taught me a lesson, and now I regularly monitor my diet. I hope I answered your question in enough detail
