Anyone remember these? They look stiff-soled.

Can anyone comment on Garmonts sizing EU44 US 9.5 9UK? I'm a 43 but I kind of want these.

Re: Gear Basket
Those are magnificent boots John!
Whomever wore them has a small foot (for thos boots)- the folds at the base of the lacing clearly indicate this- I would want to somehow retrain that leather- look like a potential pinch point...
Looking at the photos→ 44EU/9.5UK/10US (not 9.5US).
Based on my limited experience the only unit I would wager on is the EU sizing- I would expect those to be a true 44EU in terms of the length of the last.
I would expect those boots to be a full 10-10.5US.
(that might explain why the skier found them too big in first place...)

Cross-country AND down-hill skiing in the backcountry.
Unashamed to be a "cross-country type" and love skiing down-hill.

They are cool looking, but also look well used. That would mean that liner is probably well packed out.John Dee wrote: ↑Sun Nov 28, 2021 5:35 pmCheck out these bad boys:

I thought you had a Ski March boot? It’s a bad a$$ boot. I really use my T-4 very little. I do give up some sole stiffness going to the Ski March from the T-4, but it has to be pretty manky for the T-4 to offer appreciatively more control. However the Ski March always has that sweet leather flex.
I would suggest if you haven’t been out walking the dog, or doing yard work in the Ski March it’s time to start.
I can ski my 86mm underfoot Tindan with the Ski March. The sole is quite powerful.
Re: Gear Basket
wow. they dont make those any more. its too bad!
I would love a brown leather boot with laces and buckles.
someone bring those back. I will take a size 42 EU.

Re: Gear Basket
Great pairs of skis on the west side of Toronto, but I've got a feeling negotiations would be annoying. I'd pay 2/3rds the asking for used.
"One pair is Sbound 98 crown (length 189cm) with NNN binding included. We ask for 550 CAD for this pair.
The other pair is Traverse 78 Crown (length 169cm) with NNN binding included. We ask for 450 CAD for this pair.
These skis should go very fast as there are not much supply (if any) of this commodity in the market. Last year, we had to ordered them from the US and paid for mailing and custom. The price we are asking are below the tag price and we will not accept negotiation."
