Broke out to heartbreak hill yesterday....Bout a mile and a half and the snow was decent...but slow as it was below zero....Getting through a pond area was tough but on the way out found an easier way back....Very quiet and very white....Very calming cruise....not to many tele's but enough to maintain my senses....TM

After a couple of days getting excellent turns with the Rebounds....went back to the 109's....Rebounds had been a bit clunky on the up and out...Since the snow is low the Moose Maple was there in abundance....as were all kinds of forest debris....But this particular location is higher and gets more snow than the southern part and we put it to good use....10-12 inches with a good amount in powder....A three mile ski in was excellent for getting in shape while the stump fire kept us toasty and charred the sausage and ham steaks to perfection....Skied around the top...had a brew or two and headed down....The e109's were boss.....What a ski and what an exit to allow them to run and did they ever....By the time we left blue wax just out and out melted the trail behind us causing floods down in the valley...Honest they were that fast....on a logging road....in the forest....on a high ridge, in the North East kingdom, VERMONT! Telekid said to make sure Avery did the tele glide to get the feel of tele...We headed to Little Mountain and Avery, Grandson, hauled the spruce ranches being cut to a dead stump and fired it up....Soon there was a raging fire and then Aspen the wonder dog showed up....Boots and wife showed up on their land and it all was a good time to be in the forest on minimal snow....Taught Avery a turn out tele....Head the ski down in the tele position....little toe big toe and let the skis do their thing....Across the fall line he did go....Had a few falls and a couple of moments of confusion but he started to link them in less than stellar conditions....Then.....he said....."I'm going to become a telemarker".....oh yeah....music....Yesterday put the roof on Telecamp....tarp....Awesome fire....Camp was cleaned and will get windows and the second door in soon....Also will hook up the stove....Skiing on about 2-3 inches of crust and 2-3 inches of powder....Where it blows in there's quite a bit more......E 109's have become the ski at this time....They ski big even if they are short....Track true with almost no back ski crossing the fore ski....Especially when elongating....Everybody got some good turns in....Teleking Tele Rock and Roll, Snowshoe Donny and Telewood, all did their thing on all kinds of different equipment......the widest being the Rossi BC 90.... Two more inches last night and I can see some low angle fast turns coming up...TM

I just had the latest start to my ski season in at least 30 years. Skied leather on saturday and plastic on sunday on the local trails. I can't complain though I just spent two months back East paddling almost every day until freeze up. But it is good to be back and I am very happy to report that I am even better than I was last year

Teleman - it would be cool if you wrote some about the characters in your stories. Who they are, how they got their names, etc...

Thanks Mike.....Low angle....good to get out....Been pretty much hitting...LOW ANGLE....but yesterday went up a bit and explored some ridges....Found good hardwood openings which were skied conservatively, and hit some ancient farm roads and opened it up....Very fast and great feeling....Went up with last weeks blue and had no slippage....Took that off up on the hill re applied Green for stomping around up and down....Worked well....The e109's are a wonderful machine and love to slice almost as much as I do.....Will venture to the Highlands today....Bit more serious terrain and will also use my Rebounds as the 109's tip is delaminating...Time for glue and duct tape....TM

You're welcome... I guess... I'm not sure what you read but I'm pretty sure it wasn't what I wrote. No matter... carry on!

Wonder where that bear dude is? It's getting boring again...
