Viability of Waxable Skis
Re: Viability of Waxable Skis
The Sbound 98's will drag in comparison to the TN66's because they aren't a XC ski.

From my experience, skiing with klister in Southern California mountains is a treat. You can't get up there after a fresh snow, so it's always old snow with temperature in the 30's. Couple strips of klister under foot and you can fly. The only problem is soon after a fresh snow, you can break through to the powder and get a little sticky. I should say that I'm not mountaineer, would be on a groomed tracks if they weren't 5 hours away, so I just look to find some level areas and go back and forth over my own trail, to enjoy the kick and glide.
