Re: Gear Basket
Great idea for a thread. Here is something that might be of interest:
Apparently unused 10th Mountain skis with NNN BC mags, located in Alberta - 195 cm

And this Karhu boot and Salomon binding package is a heck of a deal, located in the Yukon - size 11 US

Re: Gear Basket
wasn't someone just asking for releasable Voile 3pc??
http://burlington.craigslist.org/spo/5434027647.html
Used Voile releasable telemark bindings. The cables are probably mediums. I'm a men's 9, and they look like they'll go a couple of sizes higher.
They worked well last time I used them, and have been stored well.
As-is, no refunds.
Add $10 for shipping within the US.
I'll include the skis -- 185cm Volant C.12 CompCap -- for $20 + shipping costs. No idea how to ship skis, though.

One way is to stack them one on top of the other and then wrap them well in bubble wrap and moving tape.Cannatonic wrote:No idea how to ship skis, though.

Re: Gear Basket
That was copy/paste from the ad. HOWEVER... You would be very surprised that I have gotten skis packaged base-to-base... Tips broken out of the box, etc... Terrible! I now request top-to-base packing when I order skis, just in case. It's very weird.athabascae wrote:One way is to stack them one on top of the other and then wrap them well in bubble wrap and moving tape.Cannatonic wrote:No idea how to ship skis, though.

Re: Gear Basket
Those sure were tempting Sbounds. Nordic Camber. Semi- Wide. Waxable. What else could you want? Unfortunately, I think it would be quite difficult to mail skis to canada? Besides, My Karhus of similar spec are still going fine. Hoping a waxable Epoch will show up on e-bay someday, I'd bet the hell outta dat!Woodserson wrote: Anyone bid on those wax Fischers?

Re: Gear Basket
Those Fischer Outabounds were an amazing BC-XC ski for fresh snow (my friend has a pair)- with a 78mm waist they are wider underfoot than the S-98/Epoch, and every bit as wide as the S-112/Annum/BC110. Wish they still made them with that profile!
I just about bought them....would have if they were a longer length...

Re: Gear Basket
I think they got the Outabounds dimensions wrong: I think they were 88-68-78, not 88-78-68 like the listing said. I also think the 189 was the longest length they made the Outabounds in. I would have more enthusiasm for the S-bound skis but they are all too short for my taste.lilcliffy wrote:Those Fischer Outabounds were an amazing BC-XC ski for fresh snow (my friend has a pair)- with a 78mm waist they are wider underfoot than the S-98/Epoch, and every bit as wide as the S-112/Annum/BC110. Re: Gear Basket
Perhaps you are mistaken between the Outabounds and the Boundless (which I am currently on the hunt for)? This is the outabounds:lilcliffy wrote:Those Fischer Outabounds were an amazing BC-XC ski for fresh snow (my friend has a pair)- with a 78mm waist they are wider underfoot than the S-98/Epoch, and every bit as wide as the S-112/Annum/BC110.
