Treacherous drive this morning to Big Powderhorn.

I got off a lift and a little girl said to me, "Mister, your heel came out of the ski."

@mca80 i drove thru a lot of storms to ski. It would be easier now with 4wd, but I’m older, so I guess it’s about as it has always been. It certainly is worth it!
I hope you get that broken binding fixed! ;)

I don't like autos period, definitely don't like hwy driving and especially don't like hwy driving in winter. But Big Powderhorn still has locals $35 midweek lift ticket and we got a bit of new snow so I figured what the hey. I think maybe Porkies Friday after supposed 8 inches new snow the day before then that's it paying for lift tickets for a while, though forecast calls for another 4 on Monday night and warm temps (28F) so maybe take the dog and Kongsvold to Porkies next Tues and slap the wider xskins on and go up and down a few times. No idea how Moondog is gonna handle uphill/downhill, he usually only accompanies me on moderate hiking trails.

I don't know what's up with my bindings, the heels keep coming out!

This storm isn't done, and I expect folks east of us are going to get their share as well!

The "stick" only goes to 24"

we got 16" which is a decent storm around here. Unfortunately its -12F and blowing 15-20mph, so if you believe in windchill thats close to -30F, for those of you who believe wind-chill is really just a clothing problem, enjoy

16" is good anywhere, she grunted enthusiastically!
The 25" we got was heavy, so I was pretty much just brutalized, today. Fun, though.
Needed bigger skis. Yeah, that's the ticket!
