@Salto
Alico Arctic Green - Description says full grain leather, feels more like split grain compared to the full grain of the “old”Ski March. I believe the boot on the Altai US store is the Alico XC.

Why did Alico stop making them welted?

I don't have enough experience with ski boots, but I quit buying leather hiking or work boots with glued on soles because after 4 different brands I found soles fell off in about 2 years. Sometimes the sole was done anyway, sometimes I didn't care because the upper was pretty beat up. But paying $300+ for boots that last 2 years isn't my thing.

Yeah good price if the shipping to the states isn't huge. Also, if used for mostly downhill excursions the uppers will lose their stiff efficacy before the sole fails. Tempted on the one with the buckle but will have to try out my used Ski Marched first.

How is the fit of alico compared to Alaskas? They have a 43 available and I have 43s in Alaska that are athletic fit, any smaller and they'd be unbearable. Thanks

My Ak’s are tight in the toes too. The Arctic’s have more wiggle room.

Right on, just ordered the Black Arctics. Should be a great companion to my NNNBC Alaskas, needed leather 75mms and that's a great price

@Krummholz Tell us more, please! How do they feel in terms of stiffness and support compared to Ski March and Alaskas?

Alpina-Alaska Alico-Arctic-green Fischer-TN Alico-Ski-March

Less stiff ———————————>>>>>>>>>————————— more stiff

I own all 4 of these in EU 43 75mm boots… My personal opinion of these boots. I mainly use the first 3 boots. For my high arch stiff feet the Ski March are painful heel blister machines :lol:

Hey Krummholz, any idea how much do your Artics weigh?
How much more width in the toe box, would you say the Artic has over the Alaska?
