Damage to Scarpa TX Pro inserts with Meidjo 3 binding
Re: Damage to Scarpa TX Pro inserts with Meidjo 3 binding
I'm glad that you will get replacement boots. What I've learned with my Meidjo 2.1 is the following, I guess it also applies to 3.0, but I'm not sure whether it's related or not to this issue:
On my last tour I had real troubles to align the pins with the boot inserts and close the binding. I ended up taking the boot off to put it to the ski first, but still had troubles, which were solved after I did a more thorough removal of snow and ice at all spaces of the binding with my knife. This snow build-up wasn't so evident at a simple look, but kept the boot inserts higher than the pins. Because the 3.0 has a stronger spring it might be that the insert was higher than the pin but still held it for a while until it moved in and broke the insert.
