Oh Neiden! That is Näätämö in Finnish. Good opportunity to practice Finnish wovels here.

Looks like we can ski in Helsinki on fool’s day, too. Well weather might be even better for nordic ice skating touring wise.

By the way, we use satellite images for nordic ice skating tour planning. EOS landviewer is good. Satellite images can be good for ski tour planning as well. Well I did run into problems with that last March, when snow had smelted the last few days the Sentinel 2 satellite photo were old… 50 km east and there was still good snow left.

The EOS landviewer is free and good, but you need to register.
