When those bindings first hit the market we called them Rottenfellas. I broke most of the available 3 pin bindings of the day using the old Merrell leather double boot. I too run larger then the average dirt bag at about 230 lbs. The only answer is give up on the 3 pins or switch to a flimsy leather boot.
Maybe not the only answer but neither one of us sound like were going to be a 160 lb. telemark skier.
