How many of you ski with your boots in "Walk" mode?
Re: How many of you ski with your boots in "Walk" mode?
Always in walk mode, and virtually always with the top buckle at minimum. T4s backcountry, Synergys for lift served. I find it's the most comfortable and the extended range of movement actually helps my ability to eat up the terrain.

Lift-served hard charging on ice or hardpack: Ener-gs with powerstrap and ski mode.
Everything else: walk mode or Excursions.

This is cool! I didn't know how many folks ski in "walk."
Sounds like we're missing our older softer boots... I think skiing in walk helps me to get lower, too. Otherwise Axls/T1s are so conducive to getting down. Primarily it probably keeps me from driving my tips into the ground, especially in soft stuff.

I have no idea what "walk" mode does on the T4's. It makes no sense to me.
(I know what walk mode is supposed to do, on other boots, like my AT boots, I have no idea what it's doing on the T4's specifically)

I was just talking about this! I ski like crap in ski mode, but like buttah in walk mode. On resort I ski mostly T1s.

T2s- walk mode always coz the the wire switch is a huuuuge pain to fasten while out of breath/with cold hands
T3s- about 50/50 - they're so soft I barely notice ski mode but it's nice for the piece of mind on harder/variable snow
Txs- walk in walk mode, ski in ski mode - the cuff flexes very smooth and easy on these

I (intentionally) skied in walk mode over the weekend in my Garmont Libero boots. I'm not experienced enough with these boots yet to really tell a huge difference in control, but things went just fine. I think I'll give "walk only" a shot as it's much more comfortable when I'm not in the skis (and it's one less thing to have to fiddle with when I'm getting my skis on).

My walk/ski mode switch broke on my Crispi CXPs, so I'm always in walk mode. Now I actually prefer the extra range of motion from being in walk mode.
