Did you get these yet? For what it's worth I demoed a pair of the 177s at Plattekill last week and was blown away at how fun and stable they were. If I was buying for myself I'd go with the 184s (I'm 6'3" 250lbs) but I think the 177s would fit you just fine.

Hey @Mr. Caber I skied the 177 Pariah, mounted Voile Transit, F-1 Race boot. The set up is a complete game changer. My backcountry “heavy” set up is T-4, Voile 3-pin Hardwire, Tindan 86 ski. The Pariah is much damper. The Transit/F-1 is so quick edge to edge, did I say it’s like a different sport? All I can say is the ski feels solid, I have not been in deep powder so I don’t know if I will experience tip dive. To this point, skiing groomed in a low snow year, I feel like I don’t give up anything to alpine skiers. I am still adjusting to the activity of Transit in the most neutral position, it just so active. I am ripping. Once I get used to it more, I will be taking 20 years off my skiing.
