Re: Fischer inventorry replenishment
Stephen: Thank you for spotting and sharing the link to the Traverse 78 package at Ski Essentials!! Bought my wife a pair of them in 176 a few weeks ago and have been searching without success for a 196 pair for me. Figured for sure it would have to wait until 2022-2023 catalog items become available.
Got the ski & bindings only, not the add-a-boot one. Would have preferred the BC manual instead of the BC Magnum, but I have a BC manual pair I was going to put on my old skis, so all's well!

@wsjones you’re welcome.
Maybe you already know, but in case not, the Magnum is a manual binding and is a beefed up version of the NNN BC Manual.

I did not know that, just assumed there was an auto and a manual version. That makes it even better!

Re: Fischer inventorry replenishment
I work at Cascade Ski Center in the Adirondacks (mom and pop BC XC center for 43 years) and we received notice that our Fischer orders (some from way back in fall 2020) wouldn't be coming in until about mid April.
Looks like Fischer gave skis to REI and other large retailers first, great way to treat the small local shops who have been demo-ing and carrying their gear for decades.
We carry the Transnordic (E-99) in waxable and crown versions but seeing we will be transferring the Ski Center to the ADK Mountain club this April all those ski orders coming in won't do us any good.

Re: Fischer inventorry replenishment
This happened all over to the small shops, not just you. Decades of loyal shop customers got the shaft. Unreal. Even big alpine shops-- that had never dealt in nordic skis before but opened nordic shops seeing pandemic opportunity without anyone on staff with any nordic experience-- got first dibs over the smaller stores. Unreal.Natirondack wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 8:04 amI work at Cascade Ski Center in the Adirondacks (mom and pop BC XC center for 43 years) and we received notice that our Fischer orders (some from way back in fall 2020) wouldn't be coming in until about mid April.

What are your plans post season?
Re: Fischer inventorry replenishment
Oh man looks like REI has the Alaska XP boots now too in a lot of sizes ! And their special discount for buying 3 xc skiing items are still on as well ! which makes the boots cost only $329.95 before taxes.
