I think the binding are G3 Targa. The cost of shipping is more or less 70$.エイダン.シダル wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 6:39 pmNot mine, but tempting if not for the shipping from BC.

Thanks. Looks to this Torontonian like most of the good stuff in Canada is 'out west', and the remainder 'á la belle province', which is no surprise to me.Nitram Tocrut wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:29 amI think the binding are G3 Targa. Ok, so here are some Kazama High Country 205 cms for 45 bucks and free shipping.
I bought two, originally I wanted a 200 and 205 but he was sold out of the 200's so he called me and I took 2 205's. Some notes:
-The skis are beautiful and in great shape. The worksmanship for which Kazama is known for is apparent.
-Out of 4 singles, no matching serial numbers. Flex was the same on 3 out of the 4 skis. One ski had a little cattywompus to it, like it was pulled out of the ski shaper a little early and there's a wobble to the sidewall. I only noticed because I'm super anal about these things. The layperson would never see it.
-Dimensions are 56-50-53
I had a good opportunity to ski these babies last weekend at Prospect Mountain.
-They are very fast, very good K+G. A strict classic K+G ski.
-They are the hardest skis I have ever attempted to turn in my life. Even classic step turns. There's something about the flex where the shovels and tails lock in and away I went into the woods! (Shades of MR46 and why it was discontinued?)
I would recommend for flat, fast, straight skiing in tracks or on lakes. I would hesitate to take this on a rolling tour even with good grooming where any turning was necessary, unless you want to snowplow.

Re: Gear Basket
These look good. I remain super curious about the MR46, but bought the MR48 instead to be safe. Do the Kazama High Country's have metal edges?
Photos?

New old stock 205cm Fischer e99 Crown
"Fischer Crown guaranteed to work in all conditions". They sure don't say that anymore.

Re: Gear Basket
Woods - these are awesome! I got a pair in 205 from the big Strand's ski shop purchase I made and skiied them into the ground. Fantastic traditional XC skis. My only complaint was the 205 length, I always wished they were 210's, but I did get them almost free. Now skiing the 210 MT51's instead but I miss those High Country's!Woodserson wrote: ↑Mon Dec 13, 2021 7:46 am
