mounting super telemark bindings onto world piste skis

Post by WorldMogul » Thu Jun 24, 2021 1:13 pm

I am looking to mount Rottefella Super Telemark bindings onto K2 world piste ski (pre-drilled with 4 hole inserts). I would like to use the inserts that are already there.

Does the Rottefella Super Telemark riser plate (link below), have a 4 hole pattern on the bottom to attach to the world piste skis?

The rottefella cobra(link below) has a 4 hole pattern metal plate that fits the world piste skis? Would that same metal plate work with the super telemark riser?

Other advise on getting the Super Telemarks onto the world piste skis appreciated!
Thanks!

The Voile riser plates attach to the ski with 4 screws, and then 3 screws are used to attach the bindings to the riser plates. That may be your best option. Those riser plates are available in several heights.

The Rottefella riser plates have 3 screws that go all the way from the binding, through the riser, into the ski. That doesn't sound like what you want.

Just a small point, if you use the Voile Traverse risers with a Super Telemark binding you will have to file/sand a small amount of plastic from the raised rear portion. The ST is a smidgen longer than the Voile HD Mountaineer. Not a big deal and I found this out when I mounted a Super Telemark cable binding on the Traverse shim.

Ok thanks for the good info!! I ended up using the cobra mount plates which have the 4 hole pattern on bottom...the ST doesn't fit perfect onto it, but a bit of duct tape made it workable!
