Don’t do it man. Touring with those is certainly horrendous. Nice downhill oriented boots nonethelessᚠᚨᚱ ᚾᛟᚱᚦ ᛊᚲᛁᛖᚱ wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 3:03 pmMy friends finally arrived after a long journey from Lithuania. They look like they were resoled, but in great shape. It'll be interesting to see how much, if any, touring I can tolerate while wearing these. They feel comfortable enough (I have very tolerant feet), but the ROM is pretty limited. Now, just need something to ski them on. 20210304_003045.jpg

I don't know how those boots compare to my first "telemark" boot the Merril Ultra, but when I switched to them from xc boots my first impression was that they were untourable. They broke in and I got used to them and now they are the lightest boot I own for bc skiing. At only a few ounces lighter than T4s and not as rigid as they used to be where the leather upper meets the sole I don't use them anymore.
If you need a ski for them I probably have something that will work for pretty cheap. I should be up there this time next week, PM me if you are interested. Maybe we can also get out for a ski.

I'm fairly certain these boots have plastic inside the cuff. They're almost totally rigid in the upper. When unbuckled they have a reasonable amount of forward flex and allow the ankle to return about 90°. I notice that, while the sole seems plenty stiff, there's a lot of flex in the leather around the BOF, limiting my ability to apply torque to the sole itself. I think that this might be mitigated somewhat when using a hardwire, since the upper is rigid from the cuff down to the heel.lowangle al wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 7:46 amI don't know how those boots compare to my first "telemark" boot the Merril Ultra, but when I switched to them from xc boots my first impression was that they were untourable. Well @Segeta if they do delaminate I doubt you would have a big problem getting home with those bindings, you would probably be fine.
