Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
Great day of skiing Salt River Pass, Idaho / Wyoming border.
Skied the same route yesterday.
Skied to the top of the far ridge.
About 700 - 800 feet top to valley. 1,900 feet for the day.
Skied the Ingstads yesterday and the FT62s today.
To me, they feel similar. I think the Ingstads (at 205) maybe have better speed, the FT62 at 188, better turning. But the Ingstads still turn great.
On packed, like skin track, the FT62 feel like standing on a piece of low friction plastic on an ice rink. I feel like all I’m standing on is my feet, not a ski. They just want to go anywhere (I’m exaggerating a little bit). The Ingstads seem more stable.
Still like both, but don’t enjoy traveling far on the flats on the FT62.

Feet of snow falling at Mt. Hood. From this morning at the Timberline Lodge at Mt. Hood... Also known in popular culture as The Overlook Hotel - I can hear that eerie music just looking at this photo. Where is Jack?
I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.

Darn snow machine wreaked “my” ski trail.
Still a good day — found nice snow in the trees and bushes.
Ingstad 205cm.

UT xcD terrain. Objective gets a lot of flak for lo-rise tips but they seem to fly plenty high on the downs!

Top of the cross country area at Hollyburn (Romstad Trail) heading to Hollyburn peak. Unfortunately the ski back down was crap, refrozen caca with bloody snowshoe tracks all over the place. But, what the hell, any day on skis is OK.
