Which NNNBC bindings fit?

Post by ludwigk » Sun Dec 27, 2020 11:59 am

Sorry for the newbie questions but I'm getting NO help from shops or online vendors. I'm about to order these skis: https://www.en.asnes.com/produkt/finnmark-54-bc/ (waxless version) online but the shop only has NNNBC bindings available. I assume I don't want the 'automatic' BC binding?

Would it be better to fit regular/manual BC bindings? Even the regular ones are 57.9mm wide so they would hang over the skis? Any suggestions??

Has anyone ordered from Sport Albert and shipped to Canada? Do I still need to pay the EU VAT? I've ordered several other items from Germany in the past and have never paid VAT.

Thanks!

Hi. Dont worry about the binding overlap. I always go for the manual type, and I ownly own the Magnum.

Duty and taxs fees varies per country. Expect to pay for pays duties and taxes for any order over 20$ received in Canada.

You should not be paying VAT however to Germany.

Thanks. Of course I expect to pay duties & taxes when it arrives in Canada but like you said I don't think I should be charged VAT in Germany.

Be careful, you might be charged at check out, if that is the case, do not pay and contact the company to come to a solution.

On the SportAlbert and VAT-
My experience is that the VAT will not be discounted until they process your payment.
If you email SA I am sure they will confirm this for you before you make the final payment click.

The NNNBC-Magnum will fit the Finnmark just fine.
If you are determined to have the narrower binding plate (the wider Magnum will certainly not offer anything over the standard Manual on a ski this narrow, other than the wider closure lever)- compare the pricing against this (don't forget to account for SA's ski+binding pkg discount):

Unashamed to be a "cross-country type" and love skiing down-hill.
