Anyone going to the Worldcup Sprint races in Minnesota in March

I think the races are march 14 - 17. I was toying with the idea of going for weekend. I know nothing about the area, but kind of assume that the Worldcup traveling circus bought up all the hotel rooms a long time ago. does anyone have any local knowledge of the situation?

Those races are at Theodore Wirth park, which is just west of Minneapolis, a huge metro area. There's probably 100+ hotels within 10 miles of the park, so you shouldn't have much trouble finding lodging. You'll probably find cheaper rates, and easier access if you look west of the park along I-494 rather than downtown hotels.
