Thanks for posting and checking in. The longer I am from my last day of skiing, the more irritiable I become. Skiing is a mood altering experience. I am counting the days until the first snowfall when I will wax my skis and get them ready to go. Also, I am concerned that one of my favorite places to ski (Bacon Rind, YNP) is on fire!

Cross-country AND down-hill skiing in the backcountry.
Unashamed to be a "cross-country type" and love skiing down-hill.

They were put on order with the shipment getting to Mountain Opp's in Stowe...Soon to mounted with Rotta Super telemark pins....Keeping my fingers crossed on some beater Rossie Chocolate double buckled boots at the cobblers....have three sets of very light lace up boots....So just waiting and getting ready for some cooler weather and watch the slow subtle changes in leaves, ferns, and Humming birds in a fighting eating frenzy...They will depart in a Month....Then it's on! Roller skiing a couple of times a week, and trying to sail with no wind.

happy summer, ya'll
Hey gang,
After catching the BC Nordic bug last fall, I’m sadly not in the best shape as Summer comes to a close.
I’ve been chasing a kind of frustrating injury situation as some may recall. Right-side hip, IT-Band stuff mostly. No matter how much PT and strengthening I did, i was still experiencing tightness and intermittent pain. I found a new sports doc I really like, and after doing some imaging he’s discovered that I have a condition called bilateral femoral acetabular hip impingement with early stage osteoarthritis on the right side. I know. Say that 3x fast! [emoji24]
I’m off for an MRI with dye injection tomorrow to get a better look at what’s happening with the soft tissue in there, and have a follow up in oct to discuss.
Needless to say this is a major bummer. I haven’t run in a nearly a year [emoji37][emoji36] and was not able to do the backpacking trips I wanted to this summer. I’m looking forward to figuring out what the next step is and making some progress ASAP.
