Re: How Steep is Steep?

There is steep and steep. On prepared hardpack 40-45 degree are accessible also with my Fischer Powerlight (46 mm underfoot) + skating boots On a wet sticky unprepared slope at 15-20 degree it gets (almost) impossile, (for sure no fun) with the same gear. And I have to admit that under really harsh ...

>>>I do ski with a dog, which I imagine a lot of people do. I am concerned about cuts from the steel edge, not just because they could be serious, but because they could create quite an ordeal where I ski. Pick a ski without steel edges. Re: Waxless Skis Icing Bad

Re: Waxless Skis Icing Bad

Madshus Intelligrip Skins are short kicker skins that get mounted from the top of the ski like conventional long skins. The first part of them (below the ski tip) is made of a ski base material. The mohair part is only approx 70 cm long, under the foot. The have 2 different lengths to choose, depend...

Re: Waxless Skis Icing Bad

Hi, waxless are considered for beginners or for rent (at least this happens in many lands in Europe). This also for backcountry skiing, of course. Pick two or three sticks with different temps range & an universal klister (optional, see below why...) & a small piece of glide wax (see below why...); ...

Re: Quiver Killer... Qu'est-ce que c'est?

-Fischer Powerlight (46mm below foot) since I really cannot stop skating. Dude - you're my hero. Can't you skate on something a little wider too? Like an e89? Of course I can skate with almost everything, but for how long and how fast, and with which effort? I've never tested the E89, but they aren...

Hi volks, here my 2 cents:

-Fischer Powerlight (46mm below foot) since I really cannot stop skating.

-Otherwise for pure backcountry, E109.
