Definite interest! Friend of mine had those jacks. Skied them until they were a floppy noodley mess.

Re: Newbie Question: Boots for BD Havoc
I have to agree with previous posters - go with the boot that fits you best. That said, I'm still running an old pair of havocs (2009 model - 88 underfoot, no rocker) with 01 bindings and Scarpa T2s. I did add a power-strap to the top of my T2s, but haven't ever felt that I needed more than 3 buckle...

Guess this is a bit old now, but 4th of July, 2016.
Snow was atrocious, skiing? Always amazing.

Re: Looking for the ultimate XCD ski pole
I've been using $5 yardsale polls ever since my old carbonfiber Voile's broke. I stick with aluminium because it's a bit more durable (and more reasonably priced). I've been pretty happy with K2's Lockjaw poles. The basket is well sized, the tips seem to work well, I like being able to adjust the le...

Re: NNN BC sole bail protector
"The one thing that I always thought was great about the NNN BC boots is that I can fit them in my crampons and snowshoes much better than a pin boot. I never have, but the toe is more natural shaped." I confess I've never been in a situation where I was wearing ski boots and decided to strap on sno...

Hmm... not something I think I'd like to try.
Also, OP's link just went to a bunch of shoes. Where's the skis at?

Re: Skin restoration
I'd like to hear about regluing too. I've heard good things about the G3 reglue kit. Basically, I've got an old set of BCA skins (just plain yellow hair) that were always junk to begin with but are even worse now. Seems the sticky side never sticks to the skis and the slippery side always sticks to ...

Re: New Members?
Well I know it was 1993 or earlier. I suspect it later than the 80s. Or at least that's when I got it. Who knows how long the Rossi rep had it sitting in a box before unloading it on poor impressionable young Freefix.

Re: New Members?
Thought I'd say hi. Not exactly a "new" member - same old Freefix from TTips. Mostly lurked there, will likely mostly lurk here. But I did want to leave you guys with a recently rediscovered poster from my room way back in high school. The junk my folks hold on to in their attic astounds.
