Re: help me find a 3-pin 75mm boot that won't explode here in the hills
Ahh Snowfields. Know them well. My pair was a torture device that I stuck with for years. I was happy when the sole delaminated ... until I realized that 75mm leathers were unobtanium. Found another brand/model in the right size in the attic of the shop mounting my Axl's after a long time searching....

Re: Ski base cleaner formula
For klister, the trick is to set the skis outside to get as cold as the weather allows, much easier to scrape. IMHO klister is just not worth the hassle. In the conditions that require klister, I use skins. If I were in rolling up/down territory, then kicker skins. Perhaps a bit more weight to carr...

Hang in there. It gets better and it's worth it. T1's are awesome. You bought a powerful boot that have a breakin/learning curve that will reward you. It was a rude awakening when I switched from T2 to T1 (and Hammerheads and "wide" 91mm skis) . At that point my tele had progressed to where it didn'...

Re: has anyone figured out a permanent fix for holes worn in boot bellows?
T1's from early 2000's gave up the ghost yesterday. Probably 300-500 days. Was hoping these would outlast my tele skiing days.... Small ding on the "peak" of the bellows tore down into the "valley" across the entire bellows. Was able to ski the rest of the day with bottom of the boot providing suppo...

Re: When to Drop a Knee
No technical advantage. It takes considerable time and effort to learn a good technique and achieve those “advantages” that you will hear, and ski almost as stable but not as fast as on alpine. It’s just about the fun, specially in powder. Similar levels of enjoyment would require much higher speed...

The Voile clips look like they come in on the sides while the G3 comes in from end. Not sure if that matters or not.

For the less radical, both of these tail connectors work pretty well when the tails aren't straight and/or have rocker: G3 Twin Tip Connector: https://us-store.genuineguidegear.com/products/twin-tip-connector-kit Tail connector from G3 Alpinist LT Skins (not sold separately?): https://us-store.genui...

Re: 22 Design Axl bindings damaging front part of sole of boots
Bummer about your boots. Not sure how wide spread this issue is. As one data point, I've been using Axl's with T1's for many years with no ill effects. Looks like my T1's are similar vintage as yours based upon your photo. Clearly your experience is different. It's a great binding, and your mileage ...
