Re: "The Bleeding Edge" of boot progress...
I have some old Scarpa Lazer AT boots. Never even considered they could be converted to some Teleboots via a DYI project. Hmmm!!! You all got me thinking.

That's just my life right now and one day I will leave the internet behind and go explore more than I am able right now. I do l...

The Adventures of BobT
Anybody know if there is a current thread this season? With all the snow in the Greens and Whites, I would have expected to see a thread of Bob's adventures. Always loved his reports and photos.

I read it in another post, but not sure it was EYT, or TelemarkEast.
I hope they don't as I would mind some t4's with a cable bindings for next years go to set up.

Re: How about wooden skis?
Sure, once I snap some more pictures of the process and parts I'll start a thread. It helps to have a partner as it's more fun working in the shop and drinking beer together. Here's my first pair which have skied many time inbounds and outabounds. They are a bit stiff due to the hardwoods used for t...

Re: How about wooden skis?
I personally haven't experimented with pine tar but my friend did. It was smelly, time consuming and not really worth the effort. Fresh wax after every 3-4 outings is all that's needed. Wax is cheep, relatively oder less and easy to apply.

Re: How about wooden skis?
The skis are ash with an ipe base. There is a layer of 22 ounce Triax fiber glass sandwiched between the two. They have metal edges though not full wrap around edge, there is no need. I am skiing on my first pair my friend and I made 4 years ago. I don't get out a lot but they have lasted. In compar...
