Re: Feedback after Greenland pulka trip (pic heavy)
Congrats! Great pictures and great trip! How’d the hille tent work for you (looks like maybe a keron?) I’ve been considering the nammatj for times where my pyramid won’t cut it. It’s a Keron 3 indeed. Tent was great, especially when transported in a pulkbag with the poles still inserted. Made for a...

Re: Feedback after Greenland pulka trip (pic heavy)
Awesome, thanks for sharing the trip info, it’s inspiration for future adu. Nice test of the Xplore bindings for a multiday tour. As far as the Alfa Polar boots go would you have gone a size smaller (you mentioned foot movement)? I’m not sure, I think it would be fine if I found a way to better fix...

Re: Feedback after Greenland pulka trip (pic heavy)
WOW. amazing adventure. I marvel at your courage to make this trip solo Well, except for the cold and unpredictable weather, it is actually quite a “safe trip if you’re well prepared. The hike is between 2 Inuit villages, and as you can see on the pics the snowmobile tracks are quite easy to follow...

Feedback after Greenland pulka trip (pic heavy)
I solicited help from this forum a few months ago because I wanted to re-do the Arctic Circle Trail (160km in Arctic Greenland; approx 9 days; pulk 70kg) not with microspikes like the first time, but with ski’s. See topic “Help needed for ski choice for solo pulka trip West-Greenland” This is my fir...

Re: Help needed for ski choice for solo pulka trip West-Greenland
Many thanks for all your helpful comments, suggestions and for taking the time to clarify my confusion. I'm now the happy owner of a pair of Åsne's Combat NATO Jeger Special ski's. Tried them out in Geilo -in admittedly perfect fresh snow- last weekend and I feel confident these are the right choice...

Re: Sweaty feet syndrome
Having done many multi day (5-12) hikes in similar temperatures as you posted. Many helpful suggestions have already been given, these would be my additions. 1/ a VBL is actually the best option. I use the RAB VBL socks and take extreme care when putting them on to avoid rough bunched up areas. Many...

Re: Help needed for ski choice for solo pulka trip West-Greenland
Based on the incredibly helpful feedback of you all, I've narrowed down my choice of possible ski's to the Nansen, Amundsen and Combat Nato (the older version Combat Nato Jeger, not the 2023 new BC one). This largely based on the consensus from your feedback, and my residual aversion/fear of a too n...

Re: Help needed for ski choice for solo pulka trip West-Greenland
P.S. looks pretty awesome to me. Would love to do something like that. You mentioned the rabid fox--do you have to worry about polar bears? They only rarely appear close to the Arctic Circle Trail, but sightings have become more frequent in the last decades. Indeed earlier this year a hungry polar ...

Re: First look of Lundhags Abisku Expedition Xplore boots
Piteraq.no in Oslo......... That’s a useful tip….thank you! I’ve been to Oslo many times but I’d never heard of them before. A quick look at the map revealed why – they’re in the posh part of town right behind the Royal Palace, where plebeians like myself rarely venture. …..and here’s a tip for you...
