Re: Messing around in the Bohemian Forest and Eastern Alps
From Bohemian forest (Šumava) we can even see the ridge of the Alps. 7ECCC011-70BD-468A-9814-5D3D35B3FF5C.jpeg Here’s a short video with some wife friendly nordic touring in Bohemian forest around Plechy area (sorry for missing English subtitles) https://youtu.be/6knLxELqQEw spopepro I am happy to a...

Re: Mounting 3-Pin over Xplore
I went the BOF/CRS route. The explanation in the thread below. It’s just another way of looking at things. The decision should be based on your specific needs.

Re: Xplore binding mounting point for Epochs
I tend to think the same way, even if Wabene made a good point, regarding the position of ball of foot in regards to pin. There is also something else to consider; the lifting of the ski (in many techniques: skate, step turn, etc)... you do not want your ski to be tip heavy or tail heavy... Just so...

Re: Xplore binding mounting point for Epochs
Thank all of you for the input. Although I have different NN75 boots they are all of different (sole) design not comparable to Xplore sole. Finally I´ve gone this way. The pinline of the NN75 boot aligns with the tip of the boot (the tip not the duckbill). Aligning the NN75 boot tip with the Xplore ...

Re: Xplore binding mounting point for Epochs
Though I am assuming the "pins" that are being referred to is the pin line on a 75mm duckbill, so if you are a nerd- like me- you might consider that in relation to where your foot will end up mounted on the ski with Xplore... :ugeek: You nailed it. Xplore binding has its pinline between "tech" pin...

Xplore binding mounting point for Epochs
I am about to mount Rottefella Xplore binding on my Madshus Epoch skis. I am not sure whether to mount "pins on balance point" or "pins to pin line marked on the ski". There are three pin lines marked on the ski (spaced in 1 cm), each for different mondo size. What would you recommend? I want to use...

Re: Alpina Pioneer PI Pro Vital XP Discoverer XPLORE boots Review 2022
Better grab them in Europe while you can. Like right now! Two pairs in sizes 39 and 40 have just arrived :-) I have low volume flat feet (and a bit wider) so I am just between those two sizes. I may use 39 without insoles and 40 with thick insoles and thick socks, or other people in the familly can...

Re: Alpina Pioneer PI Pro Vital XP Discoverer XPLORE boots Review 2022
I am still waiting for Alpina Pioneer Pro available in Europe in my size and slowly getting fed up. I may look at some alternatives. Same. Also waiting on the Alpina Pioneer 80 ski. Neither has materialized so I went with the Alfa Free. Alfa Free is not a way I want to go regarding XP system. It wo...
