Re: Pulled a binding today...
Wow. I’m no ski technician, but if I was trying to fix that without changing the mounting position then I’d fill those holes with JB Weld, drill, and mount with the normal screw / adhesive / sealant. JB weld is epoxy designed to work for sealing leaks in refrigeration systems right next to the compr...

Re: Share your Pre Season, work out routines
Training for XCd or xcD? For xcD do whatever for cardio (run, swim, bike, row...) then for legs do leg blasters: https://www.backcountry.com/explore/train-eccentric-leg-strength-for-alpine-skiing If you wanna get crazy do them with 3 or 5 lb weights in each hand. Training for XCd I don’t know, but I...

Re: Fischer Transnordic BOOT
I used the Fischer Scan Fit app to get the recommended boot size and it fit perfect. The only issue I had is the app gave me a ridiculous answer for the transnordic nnn bc. When I told the app to size the transnordic 75 mm I got a recommendation that fit perfect for the nnn bc that I ordered.

Let’s talk undies!!!
Ok so has anyone found long underwear you can put on without taking your skis off? I’d like to be able to drop my shell pants to my ankles and put on long underwear. It’s gonna need either a zipper, buttons, or Velcro up each leg to put em on. Or maybe asked a different way, what do y’all use to lay...

Re: NTN binding Comparison - new Outlaw X vs Meidjo 3?
I got the outlaw X shortly after it came out. I think the Meidjo 2 had just come out, but didn’t have many reviews. At the time I went for the outlaw as it was more durable and I was buying a primarily resort setup that I was going to ride hard. It’s a nice binding. I think if I was doing a lot of t...

Re: Noob Norpine Setup?
The Asnes Nosi has an all mountain shape at 76mm under foot. It’d be better than the qst I bet.

Re: Noob Norpine Setup?
Lots of good ideas here folks, much appreciated. About 5 or 6 years ago I switched to heavy telemark (tx pros, outlaws, and dps wailer 99s) from pure alpine when I got bored and wanted a new challenge. The folks at the shop recommended I ride tele on the same type of skis I enjoy skiing alpine, but ...

Re: Noob Norpine Setup?
Ok thanks for the great info! I think I’ve talked myself into nnn-bc so I can try used gear. I didn’t know about single vs double (Nordic) camber and definitely agree I want single camber for now. I think the guideline of no more than 70mm underfoot makes sense. I totally agree good fit is first pri...

Re: Noob Norpine Setup?
Good question! I do have skins and tour my NTN setup. Scarpa TX pro’s are great downhill and in the resorts. I can rip double blacks on em. I come from a strong alpine background and I think my telemark would improve by spending some time in light gear. I also love a challenge and I think light gear...

Re: Noob Norpine Setup?
Yes I definitely want to do lift served on light gear. That will be 95% or more of my days. My kids are learning to ski so I figure this will make blues more fun, and hopefully eventually blacks. I want to learn to shred on light gear :-) One thought was to go to one of the used gear stores in north...
